Last month my coworker sent me this pattern for crocheting a stuffed animal Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes for his son. I actually have never read any of the Calvin and Hobbes comics, but I knew of it. When I saw the pattern, I was a little confused because I didn't recall seeing Hobbes as a stuffed animal until my boyfriend explained to me that Hobbes IS a stuffed animal, just that Calvin's imagination shows us Hobbes as a "real" tiger.
It's been a while since I last crocheted a stuffed animal, and I have to say I'm very anal when it comes to accuracy and making sure it at least looks like the comic. This Hobbes pattern by Sukigirl was a great and easy to read pattern. I completed it successfully and was very proud of it! So happy with it I wished I could keep it.........

For my girlfriend's birthday I made her a panda! her email says something about pandas and watermelons and so i was inspired by a person who crocheted pandas based on the Beijing mascots for the olympics:

Pineapple!
I've crocheted a pineapple! I wanted to put cute lil eyes on it but i decided not to.
I used popcorn stitching for the body, and all the leaves are connecting in a round. That took the longest.
But i really had to try to make the leaves roll up, because they kept wanting to curl down! oyy
This is going to be a gift to one of my good friends here, she loves pineapple!

Bullet Bill
My first amigurumi that I made myself!!!
I've admired the one other person who made a Bullet Bill amigurumi (Google it!) and I decided to try it myself. It's not as pretty as hers, but it was my first try!!!!
This is for my boyfriend :D The arms were a little tricky, but it took a lot of trial and error to make it bend !!
Hand is a little too big though! |

Sackboy: Little Big Planet
IS DONE!!!!!
"HI!" |
This pattern was taken from Nerdigurumi, I love that site. The only thing I couldn't quite master was actually stitching in the zipper... the girl who did this made it look real good, I dunno how she did it! But anyways, this was a good start - my NEXT project is being able to put in the REAL zipper, AND have an open mouth. And this time I'm going to try to put it together myself... we'll see :D
The sackboy is for my wonderful honey :D
